Lighting art in public areas - OSRAM starts new art project in Munich

Osram Art Projects initiates with “Seven Screens” a new light stage for Munich. With this in the anniversary year, 40 years of the Gallery and the centenary of the “OSRAM” brand, OSRAM is expanding its art activities to art in public spaces.

Lighting Installation
On the greenery between the OSRAM Headquarter building in Munich and close-by the main road “Mittlere Ring” seven light pillars were set up, each six meters high and equipped with state-of-the-art RGB LEDs on both sides. Altogether almost 80 square meters of display area serve as digital platforms for media artists. Those steles can display static and dynamic pictures.

The arrangement of the art pillar on the greenery in front of the OSRAM headquarter corresponds to the form of Planck´s curve. The formal design of the pillars reflects the architecture of the OSRAM headquarter.
