TowerLITE-S - LED desktop lighting for control staff

TowerLITE-S has been specially designed as an ergonomic light for the staff of control rooms. The luminaire provides maximum flexibility for the user. The color of the luminaire can be easily adjusted within a specific area of the chromaticity diagram. The dimming level is adjustable between 0% and 100%. It is also possible to adjust the shielding angle by two joints. The luminaire is easily removable thanks to the slide-on receptacle.

 

Ergonomic light for the staff of control rooms
Up to now, smaller areas like control panels and pictures in galleries have often been illuminated with inefficient linolites. These light sources are energy inefficient, showing a low life-span and producing a lot of heat.

Luminaires powered by LEDs have a significantly better performance. They feature maximum energy efficiency, an extremely long life and a smooth temperature behavior. The latest generation of LEDs produces sufficient light, can be dimmed between 0% and 100% and, in conjunction with RGB-LEDs, is able to adjust the color of the light.

Technology
The OSRAM Towerlite luminaires integrate LED modules with 10pcs. and 30 pcs. RGB-LEDs. RGB means that one LED housing integrates 3 LED chips radiating red, blue and green light. This state-of-the-art technology allows the system to adjust the light color which is radiated by the LED luminaires.
LEDs normally operate with electronic ballast systems. In our case, we apply a special 24V ballast with a precisely stabilised output.

To adjust the dimming level and the light color, we apply a pulse with modulation in a specially designed circuit (patent pending). The circuit is designed to easily adjust the light color with only one control unit. The color is adjustable between cool white, warm white and yellow, exactly the area which induces ergonomic advantages.

The materials applied for the luminaire are all recyclable. The housing is made of brass. Inside the luminaire you find some recyclable plastic.

Design
The luminaires are designed as a product family. This makes it easy to add new luminaires to the family. Both mechanical and electrical components are designed as a modular system, making  it easy to customize the products for specific applications.
