DALI MULTI 3 - energy saving made easy
The new system from OSRAM makes lighting control even easier and more efficient
With a diameter of only 50 mm and an installation height of 21 mm, DALI MULTI 3 is the smallest adjustable recessed ceiling sensor on the markt and provides architects and lighting designers with manifold possibilities of use.
While other systems are still "thinking", DALI MULTI 3 has already reacted. A new, miniaturised sensor system allows instant presence detection and a continual adjustment of the lighting level to the daylight. Due to optimised regulating characteristics, DALI MULTI 3 ensures even greater precision in the daylight linked control of artificial lighting, making the latter more effective with greater energy savings than conventional lighting control systems.
The use of the smallest adjustable recessed ceiling sensor on the market allows lighting solutions that provide architects and lighting designers with manifold possibilities. The recessed sensor controls the lighting situation without disturbing the uniform ceiling appearance. DALI MULTI 3 can also be provided with the easy-to-use and effective Enocean radio technology, which requires no batteries and is maintenance-free. A total of 32 luminaires can be connected to a DALI MULTI 3 control unit - DALI addressing is unnecessary. Up to four control units can be synchronised for central presence detection. This makes it possible to accomplish any concept - from individual and group workplaces to open-plan offices. The result is lighting solutions with up to 60 per cent increased efficiency - and that with comparable lamp technology.
Enocean radio switch - compact and functional
Whether extremely flat, movable or as plug-in version: the DALI MULTI 3 system provides a suitable sensor for any type of application. The recessed ceiling sensor has a diameter of 50 mm. Due to its extremely low installation height of 21 mm, the control unit can easily be recessed in the ceiling. Its simple operation using a standard push-button allows the user to adjust the lighting level individually at any time during operation. A double-click on the push-button saves the last light value setting and maintains it at the set point by providing artificial light according to the amount of available daylight.
The sensor can be set individually and adjusted up to 30 degrees to the range of coverage. Room solutions or upgrades with batteryless radio switches are just as easy to realise. The system is simply connected to a radio receiver including additional housing and installed in the false ceiling. User interfaces include a radio wall control unit or a batteryless remote control.
The reliable partner for the most efficient OSRAM system solution - QTi DALI
The electronic control gear (ECG) QTi DALI is the optimal addition to the DALI MULTI 3 lighting controller. Perfectly harmonised, the controller and ECG ensure maximum reliability in system operation. Leading luminaire manufacturers vouch for the dependable interaction of the components and the high-quality workmanship of ECG and lamp. As a special feature, the QTi DALI ECG is the only dimmable ECG on the market that is provided with a "cut-off" function of the filament preheating under dim settings between 80 and 100 per cent. In combination with the optimised component design, luminaires with QTi DALI allow solutions with greater efficiency than with conventional DALI ECG function. Naturally, the DALI MULTI 3 light controller and the additional radio receiver can also be used with plug-in installation technology from Wieland and Wago.
