The magic of LEDs at Christmas
The medieval Christmas market at Wittelsbacher Platz in Munich is attracting visitors in their thousands. This year however there is a special attraction. Eight thousand tiny LEDs (light emitting diodes) on one hundred garlands are draped around the eight meter high Christmas tree, competing for attention with the sparkly snow.
To recreate the festive mood of the Christmas market at home all you need is a power supply and one of the new LED garlands by Osram. These garlands are available with either 40 or 80 brilliant white LEDs. Measuring up to 22 meters in length, they will transform your garden or patio. Trees no longer need languish in the dark. A version with a ten meter power cable even allows to reach the darkest corners.
Garlands are also available with warm white light. With 40, 80 or 120 LEDs and a length of up to 28 meters they will give any tree a Christmas glow. All versions are suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. Never before has there been such flexibility.
This new technology has a number of advantages over traditional Christmas lights. LED lamps last much longer than incandescent lamps and use less electricity. So you can sit back and enjoy Christmas without having to worry about finding replacement bulbs or paying enormous electricity bills.
