Spectral lamps are discharge lamps that emit the line spectrum of inert gases and metal vapours with high luminance or radiance. They are used wherever a line spectrum or monochromatic radiation is required. Typical applications can be found in optics, radiation physics, spectroscopy, chemical engineering and medicine.
