.... and the replacement of an OSRAM VIALOX NAV 4Y. 4Y stands for 4 YEARS, because we have extended the relamping cycle to four years. Replacing lamps in outdoor lighting systems takes a great deal of time and effort and costs a lot of money. Anything that increases lamp life and reduces the number of lamps that fail prematurely will have an enormous effect on overall lighting costs. The NAV 4Y from OSRAM scores on both fronts. Not only has its service life been increased to 16,000 hours - that's four years when operated 4,000 hours a year - also its early failure rate has been cut to 5 % after 16,000 hours. Relamping costs for the NAV 4Y lamp are therefore reduced by 25 %. Potential savings are considerable.
The optimized mounting has now been further improved with the patented Breha shock absorber:

- Improved high-performance ceramics reduces sodium diffusion considerably
